THANKSGIVING AND NEW ENCYCLOPEDIA OF MENTAL IMAGERY EXERCISES

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Congratulations! Today we move on to the completion of the third chapter in the Encyclopedia of Mental Imagery.  These three chapters offer a sound foundation for healing, self-revelation and transcendence, as you may be discovering.

Your presence here is a gift I cherish and is one of the things I’m grateful for this Thanksgiving.  Thank you all.

Elevating Holiday Tasks To Rituals

You’ll find a Thanksgiving blog in the archives.  It’s the second Thanksgiving entry (the one in upper and lower case.)  Holidays are times when family traditions handed down through generations are honored.  They evoke strong emotions, while providing a sense of continuity.  They also may evoke unnecessary tension, if we allow  it.  The Thanksgiving blog offers a way to take the stress out of holiday preparations by revering them for the spiritual, uplifting events they celebrate.   The blog is a personal indulgence. I love re-telling how my grandmother and mother involved my sister and me in holiday preparations. It rekindles the warm feelings that go with their legacy.  I hope it does the same for you.  Happy Thanksgiving!

PINK LIGHT: A LITTLE LIFE-CHANGING EXPERIENCE

Barbarah FedoroffA beautiful pink light welcomed the day.  It moved from the northeast to the south, surrounding the area with streaks of pink visible behind the naked trees–while arcs appeared in clearings as pink and white rainbows.  The soft pink light was both comforting and exhilarating– a color I’ve come to know as protection, promise and grace.

May your day be surrounded by the protection, promise and grace of this pink light that helps keep our hearts open.

Sharing Pink Light With Shore Communities

Nature is vast, so this heavenly light may have been visible to those in the shore communities.  For those who didn’t see it, let’s image it for them:

Close your eyes and breathe out three times.  See, feel and sense a soft pink light in the heavens moving above the shore communities of New Jersey  & New York recovering from the storm.  Know how this light brings these communities hope, loving kindness and the necessities of daily living to recover.

AUDIO IMAGERY TO REACH A GOAL

IMAGING LIGHT AFTER THE STORM PLUS…

Barbarah FedoroffIt’s a good feeling getting back into a routine after the storm–a feeling so many hit by the storm are struggling to experience.  New Jersey promises full restoration of power on Sunday…while hundreds of thousands in Long Island, sections of Brooklyn and Staten Island may not have power restored until mid- to late November.

In the meantime…

Let’s take a moment to image a return to normalcy for those suffering from the storm.  And let’s give thanks for all the acts of loving kindness, neighborliness, donations and gifts of clothing that are a true measure of who we are.

NOW LET’S RESUME DEEP CLEANSING FROM INFANCY

This is a longer-than-usual two-part exercise.  It isn’t completed until you hear “breathe out one time” followed by the bing and beep sounds

Colette recommends this very powerful exercise be done only once a year.  It has two parts done as one continuous exercise.

This exercise also has two parts.  It begins with your eyes open until after the silent chanting of Elijah.  Then you close your eyes, breathe out 3 times and continue as instructed.

Hope you’re using your Personal Imagery Journal for these exercises.  You’ll discover how they keep revealing more information through time.

Blessings, Barbarah

IMAGERY FOR PROTECTION IN A STORM

WELCOME TO BARBARAH’S BLOG!

Barbarah Fedoroff

Our Imagery from Reversing Errors Of The Past continues with Against Anguish.  Colette describes anguish as “a physical, agonizing pain.  It is battling with pain and it’s better to surrender to it.”   This is in contrast with Anxiety, where the pain comes as a result of  on-going angst.  Prayer For When Not Feeling Well follows.

STORM PROTECTION

You’ll find an Imagery exercise Storm Protection below  Colette’s description of Anxiety is useful to refer to once a storm is predicted.  Don’t torment yourself by creating stories of “what if, suppose, they’re all saying, etc.”  Stay in the present moment, and make certain you’ve followed emergency procedures so you’re safe. Staying calm is difficult if you glue yourself to the TV for hours of weather reports.  During storm watches,  broadcasters amp up the drama in their voices for days before a storm may arrive in your area.  If you feel yourself getting anxious, Close your eyes and breathe out three times, breathing out the toxins of anxiety.  Feel yourself becoming calm.  Breathe out one time and open your eyes.

Watch storm broadcasts sporadically unless your area has already declared an official emergency.  Then listen carefully for instructions.  If your area is evacuated, know that in such a situation, you can effectively do an imagery exercise without closing your eyes or doing the special breathing.  Simply see yourself surrounded by a protective shield and arriving at a safe place.

NEW AUDIO IMAGERY AND HERE COMES THE BOOM

BARBARAH FEDOROFFWELCOME TO BARBARAH’S BLOG AND…                                                                                               ANOTHER LITTLE LIFE-CHANGING EXPERIENCE!

Don’t miss Here Comes The Boom,  a movie filled with Synchronicities as biology teacher, Kevin James, finds himself in a life-changing experience.  In the heat of the moment he says three little words “I’ll do it,” and commits to saving the school’s music program and its teacher, Harry Winkler.  The movie is alive with characters rising beyond their own expectations in the most unusual ways. And Salma Hayak, the love interest,  keeps eluding Kevin’s attentions.  It’s sometimes delightfully silly–but its  message about how circumstances come to the aid of those taking heroic action–and how heroic action inspires others–is always relevant.  It’s also fun to watch the synchronicities unfold–good exercise for understanding your Imagery.

AGAINST ANXIETY IS FOR BOTH BLOG IMAGERS & FACE BOOK FRIENDS

NOTE: Colette tells us that “anxiety only occurs in linear time.  There is always a story called second voice,  Anxiety is torment and twisting, first mental, then reflected physically. Women are especially alerted not to torment or be tormented.  See yourself worrying about the future and you will see how your torment increases.”

MICHAELMAS: A LITTLE LIFE-CHANGING EXPERIENCE

WELCOME TO BARBARAH’S BLOG!

BARBARA FEDOROFF

Just a quick note.  Michaelmas, a fall festival, began last week.   But the spirit of Michaelmas continues throughout Autumn and is an alternative or lovely addition to Halloween.

You’ll find general information on Michaelmas by clicking on September 2010 in the archives section for this blog to the right.  Then go to Google and search Michaelmas Celebrations, where you’ll find many wonderful ideas shared by Waldorf Schools across the country.  Visit any one of their sites–and make it your own.

Don’t be put off because Autumn is here.  The main idea is to celebrate the changing of the seasons in a new way and to teach courage throughout this season.  Hava fun planning and doing.  And try not to get caught up in too many details.  Less is often more…

…And Michelmas is another way to create a Little Life-Changing Experience!

Blessings, Barbarah
